why colombia

Colombia might not be the world’s largest commodities producer, but it punches above its weight in global markets because of the mix of resources, location, and prime logistics. Here’s why it’s considered a key player:

Gold - Oil Barrel

Colombia is Latin America’s third-largest oil producer (after Brazil and Mexico) and a major world exporter of coal (especially metallurgical coal for steel).

Gold - Gold Lingots

Metals & Minerals: Gold (top-30 globally), nickel, platinum, emeralds (largest producer worldwide), and rising interest in copper exploration (crucial for the energy transition).

Gold - World Map

Access to both Pacific and Atlantic coasts, making it a natural logistics hub for trade between North America, Europe, and Asia.

Gold - Exchanges

Access to trade finance through domestic and international banks, plus a growing fintech ecosystem for export financing.

Gold - Markets

Participation in free trade agreements (FTAs) with the U.S., EU, Canada, and members of the Pacific Alliance (Chile, Peru, Mexico).

Gold - Democracy

Seen as a relatively stable democracy compared to some neighbors, making it more reliable for long-term commodity contracts.

Gold - Handshake

Presence of commodity traders (both global and regional) in the largest cities (Bogotá and Medellín).

Gold - Security

Plays a role in energy security for the U.S. and other partners, especially in coal and oil.

Gold - Energy Transformation

Attracts growing attention in the energy transition, since its mineral potential (copper, nickel, rare earths) could diversify global supply chains.

Group 10

why nigeria

Nigeria is a key global commodities player because of its energy dominance, resource scale, and regional role in Africa. Here’s the breakdown:

Black - Oil Barrel

Oil & Gas Giant: Nigeria is Africa’s largest crude oil producer and among the top 10 globally in proven reserves (~37 billion barrels).

Black - Gas

Major liquefied natural gas (LNG) exporter through NLNG, supplying Europe and Asia.

Black - Gold Lingots

Abundant but underdeveloped reserves: gold, limestone, iron ore, bitumen, coal, columbite, lithium, rear earths.

Black - Institutions

Nigeria is attracting commodity trading houses, finance institutions, and logistics companies that want a foothold in West Africa’s biggest market.

Black - Star

Nigeria’s crude is a preferred alternative to Middle Eastern oil for the U.S. and Europe, enhancing its bargaining power.

Black - Battery

Its role in global energy transition is twofold:

  • As a traditional oil exporter.
  • As a future supplier of critical minerals (like lithium and Rare Earth Elements for batteries).
Black - World Map

Rising global demand (especially for battery minerals) positions Nigeria as a potential future supplier beyond oil.

Because Junior mining companies often face financial shortfalls and are restricted to limited funding sources, we fuse business, experience, and connections we have made throughout the world to introduce junior mining companies´ projects, opening the doors to the different capital markets to find strategic partners in offtake-backed financing and project equity financing.

We can conduct market research, find strategic partners, and secure project financing for various commodities in the mining, oil, and gas arenas.  For those lacking capital for project development who need a partner to develop a project jointly and need a good buyer for their commodity, please contact us.

Oil brokerage

In oil trading, relationships = business.

We can offer clean, verified deals because many potential international buyers don’t know who is real in Nigeria — too many fake “brokers.”

Nigeria is Africa’s largest producer of oil and the sixth largest oil-producing country in the world, with a crude oil production capacity of about 2.5 million barrels or more per day. Reserves of crude oil are claimed to stand at about 28.2 million barrels, making Nigeria the tenth most petroleum-rich nation, and by far, the most affluent in Africa.

We operate directly with an office in Nigeria; we are physically closer to producers, NNPC Limited, refineries, and trading firms operating in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Warri, and Abuja. Being on the ground makes it easier for us to build relationships, verify deals, and avoid scams.

By being an international team of non-Nigerians and also experienced Nigerians on the ground, we:

  • Understand how allocations from NNPC or independent marketers work.
  • Know how depots, storage terminals, and refineries operate.
  • The bureaucratic and regulatory system (DPR/NUPRC, NMDPRA, customs, port authorities).
  • Being local gives us an edge in navigating permits, licenses, and compliance.
  • It allows us to network directly with NNPC officials

With the Dangote Refinery now operational, Nigeria is shifting from just being a crude exporter to a refined products hub (diesel, jet fuel, gasoline).

  • Living here puts us in the middle of new trading flows, both import substitution (within Nigeria) and exports to the rest of the world.
  • We can physically inspect cargoes, depots, and offices, which reduces risks of fraud.
  • No need to spend heavily on foreign travel just to meet suppliers or check documents.
  • Nigeria is a natural hub for West African crude and refined products trading.
  • Buyers from Europe, Asia, and Africa all see Nigeria as a key source. Being in Lagos and Abuja, we’re already at the center of the action.

Being in Nigeria means we’re closer to the source

the regulators, and the network, which gives us faster access to real deals, therefore we can facilitate transactions as a trusted local partner for foreign buyers who can’t be on the ground by negotiating and securing deals, connecting crude oil and refined petroleum products and sellers, ensuring regulatory compliance and competitive pricing.
